The Best Cheap Alcohol to Serve at Parties

Booze will definitely liven up a mediocre party, but it can also be expensive. If you don’t want to cheap out on your guests, but you still want to save some cash, here’s a list of the most affordable, but still quality, booze to serve at (or bring to) a party.

The folks at drink blog UnderTheLabel compiled the list, using a variety of factors to come up with their score. They explain their methodology:

Ultimately, we settled on a quintet of whiskeys, gins, vodkas, tequilas and rums. Each is accompanied by its UnderTheLabel Smart Rating — a score from 0-100 based on factors like historical San Francisco World Spirits Competitions, recent SF World Spirits Competitions and smaller enthusiast ratings. We ordered the list by price from cheapest to most expensive, though every spirit on the list can be found for $40 or less.

  • Sobieski (Vodka): $15
  • New Amsterdam Gin: $15
  • Agavales Gold Tequila Premium: $17
  • Cruzan Single Barrel Extra-Aged Rum: $20
  • Familia Camarena Reposado Tequila: $22

About Things That Make You Go Vroom

Welcome to Things That Make You Go Vroom — a blog dedicated to Automotive Enthusiasm, Love of Food and Home Decor. My name is Frank and I have teamed up with my best friend Charlie to bring a blog that is close to our hearts. Cars, Food and Home Decor. Now you might be thinking how lame this is, two grown men talking about guy stuff. But rest assured, that this blog will be far from lame. Our goal is to educate and entertain. We will be bringing car buying tips, car reviews ranging from affordable sports cars to my favorite, minivans. We will also be talking about food, from enjoying your veggies to marinating meats. And last but not least, home decor. Yes! Two grown men, talking about interior design. Hope you guys enjoy what we bring to the interwebs. Frank & Charlie.
