Use A Chevrolet C/K Truck Grille As A Display Shelf

I don’t like to call myself an interior designer, but I’ve got to tip my hat to BangShift reader Ben Chapman, who came up with this ingenious way for Hot Wheels/Matchbox collectors to display their collection.

Chapman was looking for a place to store his Hot Wheels models when a friend suggested using the grille from a 1973-77 Chevrolet pickup truck. It’s a good way to keep your precious collection from being scratched or stepped on.

Best of all, you can find the grill for sale on LMC Truck for an affordable $160. It won’t get you in any Better Homes magazine, but it’s a sweet addition to any man-cave or garage.

About Things That Make You Go Vroom

Welcome to Things That Make You Go Vroom — a blog dedicated to Automotive Enthusiasm, Love of Food and Home Decor. My name is Frank and I have teamed up with my best friend Charlie to bring a blog that is close to our hearts. Cars, Food and Home Decor. Now you might be thinking how lame this is, two grown men talking about guy stuff. But rest assured, that this blog will be far from lame. Our goal is to educate and entertain. We will be bringing car buying tips, car reviews ranging from affordable sports cars to my favorite, minivans. We will also be talking about food, from enjoying your veggies to marinating meats. And last but not least, home decor. Yes! Two grown men, talking about interior design. Hope you guys enjoy what we bring to the interwebs. Frank & Charlie.
