The Best Way to Cook Different Cuts of Beef

With so many different cuts of beef, figuring out the best way to cook it can be confusing. This chart from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association can help.

The chart groups cuts of beef by the part of the cow the meat comes from and also recommends the best way to cook them. Some are quite obvious, such as slow cooking stew meat, but it’s a handy reference for lesser-known cuts, like the coulotte roast or sirloin bavette. You’ll also see at a glance which cuts of beef are lean and which should be marinated before cooking. Although not as nice looking as this chart, this poster, showcases a wide variety of beef cuts you can get from your grocery or local butcher.

About Things That Make You Go Vroom

Welcome to Things That Make You Go Vroom — a blog dedicated to Automotive Enthusiasm, Love of Food and Home Decor. My name is Frank and I have teamed up with my best friend Charlie to bring a blog that is close to our hearts. Cars, Food and Home Decor. Now you might be thinking how lame this is, two grown men talking about guy stuff. But rest assured, that this blog will be far from lame. Our goal is to educate and entertain. We will be bringing car buying tips, car reviews ranging from affordable sports cars to my favorite, minivans. We will also be talking about food, from enjoying your veggies to marinating meats. And last but not least, home decor. Yes! Two grown men, talking about interior design. Hope you guys enjoy what we bring to the interwebs. Frank & Charlie.
